Type OO durometers test soft rubber, foams, gels and other very soft non-metallics. To obtain accurate readings using a durometer, one must develop the proper "feel" for the gauge. Check-line's Test Block Kit for shore OO gives the user the ability to develop the proper "feel", and, while it is not to be used for calibration purposes, it enables the user to perform a quick check for proper durometer operation. A large variation would indicate the need for recalibration of the durometer being utilized. This should be done in accordance with the methods indicated in ASTM and DIN.
The kit consists of three color coded test blocks each of which measures 6.4 x 51 x 51 mm. The kit is supplied in a sturdy magnetic-latching carrying case with the true readings for each block on the inside cover of the case.
A certificate of conformance is also included for users who need documentation of traceability to NIST.
Single test blocks for other durometer scales are also available on request.
