The Dakota ZX-3 Wall Thickness Gauge offers further features to the ZX-2, such as the possibility to select from 8 preset materials and the possibility to register 2 custom material velocities. In addition the material velocity can be calibrated to a material sample with known thickness and the velocity is automatically calculated accordingly.
Wall thickness and the extent of corrosion of all metals, ceramics, glass and most rigid plastics can be measured from one side and up to a thickness of 915 mm depending on material and probe.
2 point calibration to two samples of known thickness can also be done for optimal linearity. The velocity is then automatically calculated for highest accuracy and linearity between the low and high calibration points.
The Dakota ZX-3 Wall Thickness Gauge also provides a Single Thickness Reading mode and Scan mode (probe is dragged over a large measuring surface and minimum thickness reading registered during the "scan"is indicated).
The ZX-3 is also perfectly adapted to be used under harsh conditions: the probe is waterproof and can be submerged in water. Furthermore, the gauge is impact-resistant and environmentally sealed (IP65).
