The WT3-201ME is not just the motorized version of the WT3-201E Wire Crimp Pull Tester.
It is equipped with automatic test programs that comply with UL, ISO, ASTM, SAE, MIL, and other standards for destructive testing. With optional features like non-destructive testing, including pulling to a load (WF011) or maintaining a load (WF012) for a specified period of time, as per the requirements of UL 486A/B. The profile function is an option that can increase the effectivity of the WT3-201ME with the possibility to save and recall test parameters such as speed, pass/fail limits, unit of measurement, etc.
A total of up to 500 test setup profiles can be stored.
With applied forces up to 1 kN, a wire terminal that can accommodate wires from 0,5 to 6,3 mm it can accommodate most wires and insulation types. Optional ring terminal fixtures and machinable blank fixtures can increase the versatility of this device.
The WT3-201ME features an auto-start function that starts the test when the wire sample has been loaded.
When the sample breaks, the tester can auto-reverse, output the peak force, store the peak force, and zero the display automatically, thereby increasing testing throughput.
The programmable pass/fail limits with red and green indicators and audio alerts helps to identify non-conforming samples.
On-board data storage and statistical calculations is provided for up to 2,000 readings, with as optional feature available date and time stamp(WF013) for each saved data point.
Data can be transferred to a PC or other data collector via USB, RS-232, Mitutoyo (Digimatic), or analog outputs.
The automated programs and features make this device efficient and reliable for repeated testing on various applications
MESURLite data acquisition software is included with this device, MESURLite software tabulates single point or continuous data, with one-click export to Excel for further data processing.
The optional carrying case, WT3004-1, makes storing and transportation simple and safe.
During a trail period of 160 days after purchase all optional functions will work even if they are not acquired. After the trail period only the standard functions plus the ones purchased will work.
Part number | Feature | Discription |
---|---|---|
WF010 | Profiles | Save and recall sets of test parameters, such as speed, pass/fail limits, unit of measurement, etc. Maximum of 500 profiles may be stored. |
WF011 | Pull to load | The tester will stop when the specified load has been reached. |
WF012 | Load holding | The tester will stop and maintain a specified load for a specified period of time. |
WF013 | Date and time stamp | A date and time stamp is applied to each saved data point. |
WFCOMP | Complete options package | Includes all optional functions listed above. |
These optional functions can be purchased at time of order or later through the function configuration platform. This platform enables a user to add functions that where not originally ordered. All functions are initially enabled for 160 days demo period after purchase. |
Standard terminal fixture Adjustable terminal fixture accommodates wire diameters up to 6.3 mm |
|
Starts automatically The tester automatically starts when the sample is loaded, and returns to home when the sample breaks. |
|
Pinch guard As the test begins, serrated cams engage the sample. A pinch guard (red tab shown above) automatically rotates into position, for added safety. |
|
Multiple profiles Save and recall multiple profiles, for quick and accurate switchover to different test methods. |
