The G1046 Pneumatic film and paper grip is designed as a safe and efficient grip for thin materials.
Serrated interlocking jaws create a firm grip on test samples and with a capacity of 500 N (at 6,9 bar air pressure) this grip will suit most thin sample materials.
It is designed for strength testing the seal of packaging, elongation testing of various materials and other thin material tensile testing applications.
The G1046 is fully enclosed and features a unique integrated open/close valve for quick sample engagement and disengagement.
An optional air connection kit (AC1019) is available with all materials required to connect 2 G1046 grips to work simultaneously.
The flexible internal membrane actuating the movable jaw has a variable life expectancy dependent upon the maximum air pressure used and the quality of the compressed air.
Compressed air should be free from impurities, solvents and oils. Since field conditions are outside of the manufacturers control, the standard 3-year warranty does not apply to the flexible membrane.
A maintenance kit for G1046 (AC1044), including a membrane repair kit, may be purchased from Checkline.EU.
The G1046 Pneumatic film and paper grip comes with a #10-32 M/M stud with jam nuts, one spare rubber membrane, one alcohol wipe, and two cotton swabs.
